超宽带(UWB)技术在无线通信领域中有着巨大的应用潜力。本文介绍了UWB技术标准化的最新进展以及标准化机构的概况。并对参与竞争的两个基于超宽带的WPAN 建议(DS-CDMA 和MB-OFDM)进行了比较。最后,介绍了超宽带的MAC层的技术状况和WiMedia联盟对WPAN 发展的作用。
Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology has great potential in the field of wireless communications. This article describes the latest developments in UWB standardization and an overview of standardization bodies. Two competing UWB-based WPAN recommendations (DS-CDMA and MB-OFDM) were also compared. Finally, it introduces the technical conditions of the ultra-wideband MAC layer and the WiMedia Alliance’s role in the development of WPAN.
