The Danjiangkou Reservoir is located in the middle and upper reaches of the Hanjiang River. The control basin covers an area of 95,000 km ~ 2. It crosses Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi provinces. The annual natural water storage is 40.85 billion m3, accounting for about 70% of the Hanjiang River Basin water. After the dam is raised, the total storage capacity reaches 29.05 billion m 3 and the surface area is 1050 km 2, 52% of which is in Xichuan County, Nanyang.
