虽然近年来随着中外文化交流的频繁,如何对待中西文化的态度上有许多争议,文中选取两位学贯中西的史学家陈寅恪和费正清,从他们身上我们或许有新的答案。学术界最近注意到陈寅恪其人其学,但是人们对这位大史学家的了解还有限,陈寅恪的基本文化态度,就是是不忘记本来民族之地位认为。同时对于费正清的坚持运用历史主义的方法论,来研究现代中国学发展的历史过程,这也是他可贵之处。
Although there are many controversies over how to treat Chinese and Western cultures with the frequent exchanges of Chinese and foreign cultures in recent years, we may find new answers to these two historians, Chen Yin Ke and Fei Zhengqing, who learned both from China and the West. Recently, academics have noticed Chen Yinque’s theory, but people’s understanding of the great historian is still limited. Chen Yinque’s basic cultural attitude is to think that he did not forget the original national status. At the same time, it is of great value to him that Fei Zhengqing insisted on using the historicism methodology to study the historical process of the development of modern Chinese studies.
