2008年4月18日至26日,为庆祝中日和平友好条约缔结三十周年,中国美术馆举办了日本著名画家平山郁夫绘画作品展。此次展览由平山郁夫艺术展实行委员会、日本读卖新闻社、日中友好协会、中日友好协会、中国对外文化交流协会和中国美术馆联合主办。17日在中国美术馆举办了隆重的开幕仪式,平山郁夫和夫人随展览访华,并于19日上午与几十位中国中青年画家、理论家举行了交流座谈会。在这次会议上,中国美术馆馆长范迪安首先发言,指出在中日友好条约缔结30周年,中国举办奥运会之际,在平山郁夫先生的努力之下,此次展览得以成功
From April 18 to April 26, 2008, in order to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Peace and Friendship between China and Japan, the National Art Museum of China held the exhibition of paintings by the famous Japanese painter Hirayama. The exhibition is jointly organized by the Executive Committee of Hirayama Pyeonghwa Art Exhibition, Japan’s Yomiuri Shimbun, Japan-China Friendship Association, China-Japan Friendship Association, China Association for Cultural Exchanges and the National Art Museum of China. On the 17th, a grand opening ceremony was held at the National Art Museum of China. During his exhibition visit, Hirayama and his wife visited China. On the morning of the 19th, they held symposiums with dozens of Chinese young artists and theorists. At the conference, Fan Di’an, director of the National Art Museum of China, made a speech first, stating that at the 30th anniversary of the conclusion of the Sino-Japanese friendship treaty and on the occasion of China’s hosting of the Olympic Games, under the efforts of Mr. Hirayama, the exhibition was a success
