The Overseas Version of People’s Daily, with overseas Chinese and overseas Chinese as the main readership, changed from traditional Chinese characters to Chinese characters since the 7th anniversary of the first publication on July 1. Some experts think that simplifying Chinese characters is the national legal norms of writing. As a sovereign state, in the use of language for foreign propaganda and cultural exchanges, it is also necessary to use standardized simplified Chinese characters as the sole criterion for the use of words. In fact, simplification of Chinese characters for 36 years has become the norm for using Chinese in international affairs.
