黎烈文又名六曾,笔名李维克、达五、达六等,湖南湘潭人,生于1904年,是我国现代文学史上著名的编辑、作家和翻译家。黎烈文一生在事业上所取得的最令人瞩目的成就是于20世纪30年代出任《申报》副刊“自由谈”主编后,大胆改革,锐意创新,把“自由谈”办成了当时国内影响最大、最受读者欢迎的文艺副刊,他的功绩在我国新文学史上已成为定论。
