为弘扬王选精神,推进新闻媒体科技进步,为了把“王选奖”办得更好,也为了更好地纪念王选,中国新闻技术工作者联合会(简称“中国新闻技联”)将在2008年2月王选同志逝世两周年之际,拟编辑出版“王选新闻科学技术奖”纪念册。此事得到了全国人大常委会副委员长韩启德、全国政协副主席王忠禹、全国政协副主席徐匡迪、中国工程院副院长邬贺铨、王选夫人陈堑球等人的大力支持,并应邀为“王选新闻科学技术奖”纪念册题词。
