实现男女平等,维护妇女权益是时代进步的必然要求,也是我国《宪法》所确立的基本原则。当前,我国妇女权益保护工作与过去相比有了长足的进步,但仍存在不少问题,这就需要进一步完善妇女权益保障法律体系,并采取多种措施切实维护妇女合法权益,充分调动妇女参加社会主义现代化建设的积极性和能动性,真正发挥妇女在社会发展进程中的应有作用。
