Due to historical reasons, there are national standards and local standards for pharmaceuticals in China. Local standards refer to the standards of drugs that are self-organized and approved by provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. The provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government lack the principle of uniform follow-up when they organize and approve drugs themselves.
