The physical fitness of today’s children is not as good as their parents. According to surveys of tens of millions of children around the world, they are less likely to run faster and farther than their parents are. On average, children now run 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) more than their peers 30 years ago spend 90 seconds. The survey shows that, since 1975, the cardiovascular health of children aged 9-17 has been reduced by 5% every decade. The American Heart Association released the results of this study, which for the first time demonstrate that the physical fitness of children worldwide has been declining over the past 30 years. Stephen Daniels, a University of Colorado pediatric scientist and a spokesman for the American College of Cardiology, said: “It’s natural that our children are less motivated than before.” "
