清华大学水利水电工程系始建于1952年。经过多年建设和积累,今已发展成为具有多学科的教学和科研中心。自建系以来为全国各地培养了5000余名高级水利水电科学技术人材,他们以其对社会的积极奉献博得国内外好评。清华大学水利水电工程系具有雄厚的师资力量。包括中国科学院学部委员张光斗、黄文熙以及施嘉炀、张任、黄万里、夏震寰等水利界知名老前辈在内,现有教授研究员21人,还聘请了中国科学院学部委员、能源部总工程师潘家铮、中国水利学会副理事长林秉南等为兼职教授。在老专家教授们的带领下,全系形成了由副教授、副研究员、高级工程师76人,讲师35人,工程师22人,以及助教、实验技术人员等共230人的教学科研梯队。现每年为国家培养五年制大学本科生120人,硕士研究生40多人,博士生10余人。
Tsinghua University Department of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering was founded in 1952. After many years of construction and accumulation, it has developed into a multi-disciplinary teaching and research center. Since its establishment, it has trained more than 5,000 advanced science and technology talents in water conservancy and hydropower throughout the country and won praise both at home and abroad for its positive contribution to the society. Tsinghua University Department of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering has a strong faculty. Including 21 members of professors from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, including Zhang Guangdou, Huang Wenxi, Shi Jiaxun, Zhang Ren, Huang Wanli, Xia Zhenhuan and other well-known predecessors of the water conservancy sector, such as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, hired academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Pan Jiazheng, chief engineer of the Chinese Ministry of Energy, Lin Bingnan, vice chairman of the Institute as part-time professor. Under the leadership of veteran professors and professors, the department has formed a teaching and scientific echelon consisting of 76 associate professors, associate professors, senior engineers, 35 lecturers, 22 engineers, and a total of 230 teaching assistants and experimental technicians. Now for the country to train five-year university undergraduates 120 people, more than 40 master’s degree students, doctoral students more than 10 people.
