刘峰来自农村,从小酷爱美术。在初中时代刘峰就显露出他的艺术天赋,水彩写生《牛桥》就获得了世界儿童画展二等奖,泥塑《教奶奶学文化》人选呼市美展。之后,他被内蒙古教育厅抽调到北京筹备全国教展会,展会上制作了大量泥塑工艺品和牧区景箱参展并获“优秀工作者”奖励。1960年,刘峰在呼市第一师范美术学校任教,开始了他的艺教生涯。他为中、小学和老年大学及区内外许多团体讲美术课,把绘画画理、画法、造型规律编成口诀教给学生,深受学
Liu Feng from the countryside, since childhood love art. In the junior high school Liu Feng revealed his artistic talent. The watercolor sketching “Niu Qiao” won the second prize of the world children’s art exhibition and the clay sculpture “teaching grandma’s culture” was selected by Hohhot Art Exhibition. Later, he was transferred to Beijing to prepare for the National Education Exhibition in Inner Mongolia by the Department of Education of Inner Mongolia. A large number of clay handicrafts and pastoral scene boxes were exhibited at the show and awarded as “Outstanding Workers”. In 1960, Liu Feng taught in Hohhot First Normal School of Fine Arts, beginning his career in arts and education. He taught art classes at primary and secondary schools, senior citizens’ universities and many groups in and outside the region. He taught students the techniques of painting, painting and modeling, and learned much from them.
