In-depth understanding of the geometry and extension of fractures in hydraulic fracturing will help to improve fracturing stimulation productivity in low-permeability reservoirs, improve productivity and increase oil and gas recovery. Seismic methods have been used to monitor and characterize fracturing in hydraulic fractures for many years, and the advent of new seismic hardware and processing techniques has made such monitoring more efficient and reliable.
