在西北军区正确的直接领导下,我们集中了军事力量,大力进行了剿匪工作。由于结合了抗美援朝、镇压反革命、减租反霸、土地改革一系列的群众运动,和人民解放军艰苦进剿,各级党政各民族人民的积极地协助,我们的剿匪工作是有成绩的。共计击毙土匪八十二人,伤七十六人,捕俘一千六百六十五人,争取投降七百二十八人,收集散匪与自首登记者二百五十九人,总计歼匪二千八百一十人。缴长短枪九百三十八支,各种弹药三万六千一百余发,牲口七百一十二头(大部已归还群众)。在酒泉、庆阳、平凉、天水、武都、定西等地区已基本消灭了股匪。在武威、临夏等地区还有少数股匪。除这两个地区的股匪还有进行公开活动的以外,一般的都改变了活动方式:或则暂时停止活动潜伏起来,或则离开本地逃往他处,或则昼伏夜出,继续活动。一般的由大股化为小股,由公开变为秘密隐蔽,由中心地区转移到偏僻的或工作薄弱的或民族杂
