最近,在省委礼堂举行的广东省卫生系统白球恩式先进集体和先进工作者事迹报告会上,茂名市人民医院的事迹报告,赢得听众的阵阵掌声,还得到李兰芳副省长的充分肯定,认为茂名市人民医院的事迹,是全省卫生系统学习的典范。市人民医院自1997年11月新一届领导班子成立后,紧密围绕着以病人为中心,在医院管理、医疗服务模式、吸收和培养高素质人才、医德医风建设等方面进行了全面改革,取得前所未有的好成绩:被评为广东省职业道德建设先进集体、广东省百家文明医院,多次被评为茂名市文明单位,最近又被评为广东省白求恩式的先进集体和茂名市先进集
