Wang Lingxian began collecting mon-key -related arts and crafts as early as 1970and,after up to 30years’ efforts,has ac-quired about 2,000monkeys in 1,700v ari-eties of materials and fabrics.Amon g her collections,the biggest one is a jad e sculp-ture depicting the resourceful monkey and his children,which weighs a colossal 500kilo-grams.Wang Lingxian opened up to the public the first monkey artifacts mu seum in China.So on January 3,1999the Head-quarters of Shanghai Guinness award ed her a record certificate.
