通过对某独立学院英语专业本科一年级学生的问卷及英语写作实践能力调查发现,大多数学生都没有达到《教学大纲》要求的英语写作基本的“入学能力”。写作能力测试结果反映出一些本应在初高中阶段就已经杜绝了的问题,仍然或多或少的存在于这些新生的作品中。这些现象客观上造成了独立学院英语专业本科生写作能力差的基本状况。因此为了更好地提高独立学院英语专业本科生的写作能力,了解其英语写作“入学能力”势在必行。
A questionnaire survey of first year English majors and practice ability of English writing in an independent college found that most of the students did not meet the basic “ability to enter the English language” required by the Syllabus. Writing test results reflect that some problems that should have been eliminated in the first three years of high school are still more or less present in these freshmen’s works. These phenomena have objectively caused the basic situation of poor writing ability of independent college English majors. Therefore, in order to better improve the writing ability of undergraduates majoring in English at Independent College, it is imperative to understand their English writing “Admission Ability ”.
