我州属冬油菜区。近年来,生产上多采用“云油7号”和“黔油23”等甘兰型品种,不能适应稻、稻、油“三熟制”的需要。因此,尽快选育早熟、丰产、抗病的油菜新品种,已成为油菜育种工作的当务之急。为了加速油菜杂种的世代繁殖,缩短育种年限,遵照毛主席关于“一切经过试验”的教导,我们在本州海拔1800公尺左右的雷公山,进行了油菜夏繁试验,于六月播种,十月成熟,所收种子能赶上秋播,夏繁初获成功。
