This article describes experimental two types of continuous coating machines. In either case, dielectric layers of zinc sulfide (ZnS) and magnesium fluoride (MgF2) are alternately deposited on a polyester film roll 75 mm wide and 800 mm long, 200 meters long). The thickness of each coating in a multi-layer interference film can be precisely controlled. In this regard, after extensive experimentation, the coatings range from 3 to 9 layers in length and both maintain uniform optical properties. The change in coating thickness varies along the length of the polyester film. Within a hundred meters, the change does not exceed ± 5%. This article discusses the thermal radiation baffle where the film is used to make the sun and also addresses the issue of improving the service life of multilayer films.
