“西关小姐”被称为广府文化的明珠,岭南文化的经典,其形象变迁成为岭南女性形象转变的先声。20世纪初,“西关小姐”的服饰逐步体现出开放性、多样性和功能性的特色,体现了岭南女性时尚典范、社会精英的新形象。这种变化,不但是满汉融合,中西交流的结果,更是近代岭南,乃至近代中国开眼看世界,与市民社会崛起的彰显。
“Miss Xiguan ” is known as the pearl of Guangfu culture, a classic of Lingnan culture, whose image change has become the forerunner of the transformation of the female image in Lingnan. At the beginning of the 20th century, the dress of Miss Xiguan gradually embodies the features of openness, diversity and functionality, embodying the new image of Lingnan women’s fashion model and social elites. This change is not only the result of the integration of Manchu and Han and the exchanges between China and the West, but also the highlight of the rise of civil society in modern Lingnan and even in modern China.
