The 2013 Albert Lascork Prize for Research in Basic Medicine conferred on two scientists who uncovered rapid neurotransmitter release under brain activity, Richard H. Scheller from Genetech and Thomas CS from Stanford University School of Medicine (u | ¨) dhof, they identify and separate the key factors in the research work, clarify the core of the basic mechanism of the process, to solve the problem of how cells work under extremely high precision. These research efforts build a molecular-scale research framework for understanding how certain malignant diseases affect both human and normal human learning and memory.
