宏哉光祖,与国同运;栉风沐雨,文脉源长;百年树人,蔚为栋梁;克承前烈,家国之光。深圳市坪山新区光祖中学,其前身为光祖学堂,始建于190年,系南洋爱国华侨捐资,仿上海南洋公学(今上海交通大学)中院兴建的一所当时全国首屈一指的新型学堂,它开南粤近代教育的先河,是深圳市两所百年老校之一。
