东屯度农机厂是湖南省长沙市郊东屯度农场的一个场办小厂。十一届三中全会以前,全厂才100多人,几台旧车床,以生产农机配件为主。那时,这个厂的产品找不到销路,生产任务小,经常吃不饱。由于生产不景气,甚至连工人的工资也难发出。有的工人说,咱农机厂已到了绝境,不如散伙了事。 1979年,厂里从市场需要入手,组织工人广泛进行市场调查,发现市场上单车的销路很好,自己也有一定的生产能力。于是,他们就因地制宜进行转产。俗话说,船小好调头,当年,厂里除留少部分人生产农机配件
