Objective To investigate the mechanism and effect of hips and knees in the treatment of pediatric developmental hip dislocation (DDH) after operation. Methods A total of 47 children with DDH were enrolled in this study. They were treated with active hip and knee scaffolds after selective deep distention. The changes of the recovery process, the final effect and the complication were followed up. Results All 47 hips were well maintained and their activities were normal. There were no postoperative complications such as hip stiffness, dislocation and femoral head necrosis. Conclusion The new type of hip and knee active scaffold is an ideal postoperative adjuvant therapy after DDH to maintain the position, reshape the acetabulum and restore the hip joint activity.
