应中国烟草总公司邀请,美国北卡罗来纳州立大学植物病理学教授C.F.Main博士1988年10月17～22日在山东举办了烟草霜霉病专题讲座。 Main教授介绍了烟草霜霉病在美国的发生为害情况、症状、病原菌形态、生物学特性以及病害的损失估计等情况。他认为此病的传播方式主要是分生孢子通过气流远距离传播的。从病区移栽烟苗也是一条传播途径。
At the invitation of China National Tobacco Corporation, Dr. C.F.Main, professor of plant pathology at North Carolina State University, USA, held a talk on tobacco downy mildew in Shandong from October 17 to October 22, 1988. Main Professor introduced the occurrence of tobacco downy mildew disease in the United States, symptoms, pathogenic bacteria morphology, biological characteristics and disease damage estimates and so on. He believes that the main mode of transmission of the disease is conidia spread through the long-distance airflow. Transplantation of tobacco seedlings from the ward is also a route of transmission.
