First, the preface In the current low light night vision equipment, multi-alkali photocathode is a more practical and effective detector. It converts the optical image of the observed object under night sky illumination into a corresponding electronic image. The image is focused by the electron lens and converted to a visible enhanced optical image after the high-energy electrons impact the screen. Therefore, the photocathode is like the “eye” of night vision equipment, and its performance directly affects the input signal to noise ratio of the first stage of night vision.
