福建大田硫铁矿是个小型矿山。1971年设计,采用的是初勘报告。施工后发现矿体形态复杂,矿石品位达不到工业要求,一段时间无矿可采。矿山地质人员开展了基础地质工作,总结成矿规律,成功地指导生产探矿,以坑勘为主要手段,用少量的工程提供了80多万吨工业储量。 我们首先对地质勘探资料进行综合研究。本矿床属火山——沉积变质——热液再造型,矿体形态严格受地层——构造控制,共有矿体61个,主矿体2个。根据地质资料分析,1号主矿体属于第Ⅳ勘探类型偏简单的,附近的2、4号矿体则属Ⅳ类偏复杂的。1号矿体较稳定地段可用25×25米工程间距求B级储量,特殊地段用25×12.5米工程间
