Synthetic sonic log一词曾经至少有两种译法——“虚速度测井”及“合成速度测井”.之所以采用“合成”,据说理由有二:一,认为采用“虚”字,未免过于荒唐; 二,认为“Synthetic seismogram”为“合成地震记录”,“Synthetic stackedsection”为“合成叠加剖面”,则将“Synthetic sonic log”译为“合成地震测井”也就是理所当然,无可指摘的了.对于以上看法,我们觉得似乎有进一步商榷的必要.Synthetic一词,确可译成“合成”.但在 Synthetic sonic log这个具体场合
