当今世界最大的响锣,直径为146厘米,重61公斤,它的诞生地便是武昌石牌岭的武汉锣厂。武汉市制锣业早在500年前就颇有名气,19世纪末成为中国铜响锣制造中心之一。武汉锣厂是我国目前最大的生产响锣打击乐器的专业厂家。其前身是“高洪太锣厂”,由高洪太、王洪昌、周洪大等著名私营锣厂联合而成。已有近百年的生产历史,现有职工200人。是轻工部定点企业和少数民族用品生产定点企业。武汉锣厂生产的响铜打击乐器有锣、钹、钗、铙、钟、铃、鼓、板10个门类,70多个品种,140余个规格。高洪太响锣音质纯正,吃锤省力,能定调,适应性强。它不仅是中国48个剧种的主要响器,也是西方
