Ⅰ. INTRODUCTION The economical consideration has made it necessary to build a port at Blue Bay. The main problem to establish a port has been the existence of a bar at the entrance of the bay and a tidal inlet channel across the bar. Unfortunately the channel has a depth of only 2.5 m and a width of 1.5 km (fig. 1).
