郑振铎先生因飞机失事不幸遇难,到现在已经整整过去三十个年头了。当年,胡愈之同志在《哭振铎》的悼念文章中,称誉郑先生是文学工作中的多面手,不论在诗歌、戏曲、散文、美术、考古、历史方面,不论在创作和翻译方面,不论是介绍世界文学名著或整理民族文化遗产方面,都作出了平常一个人所很少能作到的那么多的贡献。而我,可能因为自己从事编辑出版工作的缘故,却突出地感到郑振铎先生在编辑出版方面同样作出了不可磨灭的重大贡献,是我们后辈学习的一个好榜样。从1919年与瞿秋白等共同编辑《新社会》的旬刊起,郑先生主编或积极参与编辑的刊物有《人道》月刊、《儿童世界》周刊、《小说月报》、《文学季刊》、《太白》半月刊、《民主》周刊、《文艺复兴》月刊等。

However, I, probably because of my work in editing and publishing, may well feel that Mr. Zheng Zhenduo also made an indelible and significant contribution to editing and publishing, which is a good example for our junior students to learn. From 1919 and the Qu Qiubai and other co-editor of “new society,” the ten issues, Mr. Zheng editor or actively involved in the editorial publications, “Humanitarian” magazine, “Children’s World” magazine, “Novel Monthly,” “Literature Quarterly,” “ ”Half Monthly,“ Democracy ”Weekly,“ Renaissance ”Monthly.
