听说读写为外语学习的四种基本技能。其中,听和说尤为重要,因为听是语言学习的源头,而说乃是最终目的。但是,传统的英语教学模式中,教师将绝大部分的精力投入在读和写上,几乎不布置听力作业,所以学生只擅长解题而不擅表达,学的是“哑巴英语”。学生在这种大背景下,学习英语也多专注于词语、语法、句子结构等。我在全校做过一份关于听力、口语课外练习的调查,结果令人骇然,却也是意料之中。结果显示:784名在读学生中,仅有
Listening and Speaking as the four basic skills of foreign language learning. Among them, listening and speaking are especially important because listening is the source of language learning and speaking is the ultimate goal. However, in the traditional mode of English teaching, most teachers devote most of their energy to reading and writing, almost no assignments of listening work. Therefore, students are good at problem solving and not good at expressing. They learn “dumb English”. Students in this context, learning English also focus more on words, grammar, sentence structure. I did a survey of extra-curricular listening and speaking exercises throughout the school. The result was appalling but it was also expected. The results showed that: only 784 students were enrolled
