七十年代稀盐酸法制取人造金红石在国外有着引人注目的发展。已有较大规模的工厂投产,并计划兴建更多的工厂。这一方法有明显的优越性。首先,此法可利用化工厂、农药厂的废付盐酸;采用喷雾焙烧法处理浸出后得到的二氯化铁溶液,可以回收盐酸,形成闭路循环,在极大程度上减少了对环境的污染。国外有的工厂采用的BCA法与模骚法,将钛铁矿予先进行还原焙烧,使其中的三价铁还原为二价铁,然后用稀盐酸浸出。若不经予还原,直接用稀盐酸浸出,则可缩短流程,节省相应的基本建设投资
