大力发展养猪业是党发展我国农业、增产粮食的重要指示。养猪的好处很多,猪的全身都是宝。猪肉是我国人民喜爱的肉食之一;猪皮、猪毛和猪骨头都是很好的工业原料;猪粪尿还是农家主要的优质肥料。自从1959年党中央和毛主席发出大力发展养猪的指示以后,中国科学院土壤及水土保持研究所与微生物研究所、北京植物生理研究室,在生物学部的领导下,协作开展猪粪的調查研究,并进行猪粪堆制和保藏的試驗工作。茲将初步結果,綜合彙报如后:
