In recent years a large number of academic papers published in domestic and foreign journals, but it is worth noting that Chinese researchers seldom published papers in international journals. The past researches mainly focus on the abstract, introduction and discussion of the dissertation, while there are few references to the literature review. The comparative study between English and Chinese is even rarer. In this paper, the literature reviews of 40 empirical essays (20 English-Chinese articles) from 4 kinds of applied linguistics journals are cited as the research object, and the characteristics and existing differences of English and Chinese literature citations are contrastively analyzed. 1.
