“百家期刊送百县”科技扶贫活动日前在北京人民大会堂举行赠刊仪式。全国政协副主席孙孚凌、中国文化扶贫委员会主任徐惟诚、国务院扶贫开发领导小组常务副组长、农业部副部长刘成果、科技部副部长韩德乾出席仪式并讲话。科技界、工商界、贫困县代表,参与这一活动的部分科技期刊主编,在京各大新闻媒体记者100多人参加了仪式。 “百家期刊送百县”科技扶贫活动由中国文化扶贫委员会科技部科技扶贫办公室主办,畜禽业杂志、饲料研究杂志、饲料博览杂志策划承办,我们与全国近百家科技期刊共同发起。这一活动以“为了不再贫困”为主题,从1998年7月至2000年12月,每年向全国27个省、市、自治区101个国家级贫困县赠送50,000多份的科技期刊。这些期刊为农业应用技术类或科普类刊物,对贫困地区以种植业、养殖业和以农副产品加工业为重点,发展多种经营与乡镇企
“Hundred counties to send hundreds of counties,” Science and Technology Poverty Alleviation held a donation ceremony in Beijing’s Great Hall of Commons. Sun Fu Ling, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Xu Weicheng, director of the Chinese Committee for the Corruption of Poverty, deputy head of the Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development of the State Council, Liu Chengguo, vice minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, and Han Deqian, vice minister of science and technology attended the ceremony and made speeches. More than 100 journalists from major science and technology, business and poverty-stricken counties and some chief editors of science and technology journals participating in this activity attended the ceremony. “Science and Technology Poverty Alleviation by 100 Journals” is sponsored by Science and Technology Poverty Alleviation Office of Science and Technology Department of China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, planning and undertaking of magazine of livestock and poultry, research magazine of feedstuff and magazine of feed exposition. We initiated with nearly 100 scientific and technological journals nationwide. Under the theme of “no more poverty”, from July 1998 to December 2000, the event donated more than 50,000 scientific and technological journals to 101 state-level poverty-stricken counties in 27 provinces, cities and autonomous regions nationwide. These journals are agricultural applications of technology or popular science publications, focusing on farming, aquaculture and agricultural and sideline products processing industries in poor areas, to develop diversified operations and township enterprises
