高校英语教学不仅仅要着眼于高层次英语专业人才的培养,同时也要将教学的目光放在学生职业能力的提升上,基于职业能力的培养来对当前我国高校英语教学的方法进行改进,进而有效的提升学生的英语应用水平。我国高校长期受传统的教学模式的影响,一味的重视学生英语单词的记忆以及英语语法的掌握,对于学生职业能力的培养没有花费太多的心思。当今社会是对应用型人才的需求,学生在学校接受传统的知识型的教学模式,一旦走出校园是很难融入到社会中去的,更谈不上在社会实践中更好的应用所学的英语知识。高校作为人才的培养基地,必须紧跟社会时代的发展需求,通过创新教学模式,加强学生的职业能力培养,进而为社会培养出更多的应用型人才。
