弘扬中华民族的传统美德，对青少年进行优良传统伦理教育，并与社会主义伦理道德教育相接轨，是社会主义市场经济发展与完善的必然要求。正确理解和把握优良传统道德中的义利观，使青少年明确社会主义现代化建设所需要的道义责任与物质利益的关系，倡导“见利思义”，倡导以国家、集体、他人利益为重的思想，不仅是构成社会主义价值观、人生观的基础，也是抵御“金钱至上”等拜金主义腐朽思想侵蚀的客观要求。对青少年进行义利观、价值观教育，必须针对他们自身和环境特点，采用适当的方法，才能收到较好的效果。
