Before the country’s opening, as Britain’s last ruling region in the East, the place of this projectile was simply a miracle of the Chinese world: in just a few decades it jumped into a world-class shipping center, a free trade port, an Asian financial center, and Southeast Asia Transport hub, the cultural enclave south of the mainland descendants, the East Hollywood, South China’s most dazzling “Oriental Pearl.”
