In the late twentieth-century Afghanistan, Kite Runner recounted the story of humanity’s betrayal, growth and salvation in the hands of two Afghan boys, wealthy young master Amir and servant Hassan. Through the love and betrayal of father and son, brother and friend, the novel presents the reader with a panoramic view of Afghanistan’s culture, religion, customs and war-torn panorama, bringing readers of all cultural backgrounds a message about human nature and about redemption Thinking. In recent years, there are quite a few angles in the field of interpretation of “Kite Runner”: the theme of growth, the theme of redemption, the prototype of scapegoat, the symbolic meaning of kites, national identity and so on. This article attempts to interpret novels from the perspective of spiritual salvation of the protagonist Amir.
