古往今来,有识之士常以诗抒情议事,告诫人们“一寸光阴一寸金,寸金难买寸光阴”。在众多的劝勉惜时诗篇中,《昨日诗》、《今日诗》和《明日诗》最有特色,均语言通俗明快,说理浅显透彻。如《昨日诗》:昨日复昨日,昨日何其好。昨日过去了,今日徒懊恼。世人但知悔昨日,不觉今日又过了。水去日日流,花落日日少。成事立业在今日,莫待明日悔今朝!此诗的作者现已无可考。明代文嘉著的《今日诗》平易直朴,好懂易证。今日得今日,今日何其少。今日又不为,此时何时了。
