国际计量大会已正式决定于1989年公布新的国际温标——1990年国际温标(ITS-90)。银凝固点和铝凝固点将成为新温标的两个重要的定义固定点,如果各国家实验室实现的这两个固定点的温度有明显的差异,则全世界就不可能有统一的新温标。因而国际计温学界对这些固定点的国际比对结果十分关注。
International Conference of Metrology has officially decided in 1989 announced a new international temperature scale - 1990 International Temperature Scale (ITS-90). Silver solidification points and aluminum solidification points will become the two important fixed points for the new temperature scale. If there is a clear difference in temperature between the two fixed points achieved by the national laboratories, it will be impossible for the world to have a unified new temperature scale. Therefore, the international community of thermometry on these fixed points of international comparison is very concerned about the results.
