1949年以来我省各地眼科工作者,在党的領导和关怀下,在防治沙眼和防治盲人工作上取得了一定的成绩。特別是1958年中央卫生部在哈尔濱召开了防治沙眼現塲会議以后,于1958—1960年间在全省范围內开展了大規模的群众性眼病防治工作。在此二年中全省各級医疗队在各市县为十七万余人进行了手术治疗。一部分市县結合防盲扫尾又开展了群众性的沙眼防治工作。据当时調查我省之兰西、依安、杜尔伯特、牡丹江、齐齐哈尔、綏化等十几个市县沙眼患病率可降低到20％左右,全省沙眼患病率由防治以前的70％降低到40％。防治沙眼防治盲人工作的开展,不仅迅速降低
Since 1949, ophthalmologists in various parts of our province have made some achievements in the prevention and treatment of trachoma and under the leadership and care of the party. Especially after the convening of the trachoma prevention and control conference in Harbin in 1958, the Central Ministry of Health launched a large-scale mass eye disease prevention and control work in the whole province from 1958 to 1960. In the past two years, medical teams at all levels in the province have performed surgical treatment in more than 170,000 people in all cities and counties. Part of the cities and counties in conjunction with anti-blind sweep and launched a mass of trachoma prevention and control work. At that time, the prevalence of trachoma in Lanxi, Yi’an, Duerbote, Mudanjiang, Qiqihar and Suihua cities in our province was reduced to about 20%.
