天然绿色屏障荆条(Vitex negundo var.heterophylla)马鞭草科牡荆属落叶灌木,株高1.5～2.5米。广泛分布于我国南北地区,北自太行山、燕山,向南绵延至中条山、沂蒙山、大巴山、伏牛山和黄山等山区。北京北部山区河北承德地区、内蒙古昭乌达盟和伊克昭盟等地区都有自然形成的天然绿色屏障分布,是北方干旱山区阳坡、半阳坡的典型植被,对荒地护坡和防止风沙均有一定的环保作用。
