龙在中国传统文化中有着重要的地位和影响,成了中华民族的象征。龙乃中国远古先民创造的神灵,认为龙可上天入海,呼风唤雨,威力无比,且变化莫测。龙还以其神圣、权贵属性而成为天子的象征,民间则把龙当作吉祥、喜庆、灵秀超俗的化身。在中国十二生肖民俗中,龙又与地支“辰”相配,其形象凝聚着中华民族的智慧与文化底蕴。中国人民银行于1988年(戊辰)龙年首次发行铸有龙文化题材的纪念币一组(图1、图2)。本组纪念币采用黄金、铂、白银铸造,均为同一年号的圆形本色币,由不同成色、重量、面额、发行量和不同图案
Dragon has an important place and influence in Chinese traditional culture and has become a symbol of the Chinese nation. Dragon is the god created by ancient Chinese ancestors, that the dragon can be God into the sea, do anything they want, extremely powerful and unpredictable. Dragon also with its sacred, powerful attributes as a symbol of the Son of Heaven, the dragon is used as auspicious folk, festive, incarnation of superb vulgar. In the Chinese zodiac folklore, the dragon is matched with the Earthly Branches and the “Chen”, whose image embodies the wisdom and cultural heritage of the Chinese nation. The People’s Bank of China first issued a collection of commemorative coins with the dragon culture theme in the Year of the Dragon (Year 5, 1988) (Figure 1 and Figure 2). The commemorative coins in this group are made of gold, platinum and silver, all of which are round-colored coins of the same year.
