内燃机的代表性滑动件活塞环的陶瓷化十分盛行。其方法大致分为两种,一种是用陶瓷直接制造活塞环的烧结法,另一种是用PVD(物理汽相淀积)或等离子喷镀在金属活塞环表面形成陶瓷镀层的方法。在陶瓷烧结体中,又分为由部分稳定化氧化锆(PSZ)构成的整体型和山碳化硅或氮化硅等构成的分割型。分割型的内周使用胀环,其理由是陶瓷通常比铸铁或钢的弹性模量高,所以对活塞的配装性差。
A representative slider piston ring for internal combustion engines is very popular. The method is roughly divided into two kinds, one is the sintering method of directly manufacturing the piston ring by ceramics, and the other is the method of forming the ceramic coating on the surface of the metal piston ring by PVD (physical vapor deposition) or plasma spraying. In the ceramic sintered body, the ceramic sintered body is further divided into a split type consisting of monolithic stabilized zirconia (PSZ) and mountain silicon carbide or silicon nitride. The reason why the split type inner ring uses an expansion ring is that the ceramic generally has a higher elastic modulus than that of cast iron or steel, and thus has poor fitability to the piston.
