OBJECTIVE: To study the optimal range of wound irrigation pressure in order to reduce the infection rate and morbidity of firearm wounds in wartime. Methods: Animal models of firearm injuries in canine limbs were established, and the wounds were rinsed with medium and high pressure respectively with a washing machine. After injury and rinse immediately after taking local tissue bacterial quantification, light microscopy, the general observation of the wound. Results: In reducing the number of bacteria on the wound surface, the two groups were statistically significant before and after washing (p <0.01). However, there was no significant difference between the two groups (p> 0.01), and both groups did not cause any damage to the tissues around the wound. Conclusion: The medium and high pressure range is suitable for washing wounds of firearm wounds.
