“走向现代——英国美术300年展”由英国曼彻斯特大区博物馆联盟、国际巡展联盟、贝里行政区市议会等3家机构和中国中华世纪坛世界艺术馆、辽宁省博物馆、江西省博物馆、广东省美术馆、河南博物院、湖南省博物馆等6家博物馆和美术馆共同主办、是国内首次全面展现英国历时300年的美术发展状况。80年展品包括油画、版画、水彩、素描和雕塑,来自英国西北部以曼彻斯特为中心的18家博物馆和收藏机构。展览属于英国大使馆文化教育处举办的“艺述英国”活动之一。在北京的首展时间是2012年11月15日至12月21日,之后还将在1年的之间内在沈阳、南昌、广州、郑州和长沙等5个城市巡展。
“To Modern - 300 Years of British Art Exhibition ” by the Manchester Museum of the Union, the International Tour Union, Berry City Council and other three institutions and the China World Altar Museum of the World Art Museum of Liaoning Province, Jiangxi Provincial Museum , Guangdong Art Museum, Henan Museum, Hunan Provincial Museum and other six museums and art galleries co-sponsored, is the first time in China fully demonstrated the development of art in the United Kingdom lasted for 300 years. 80 exhibits include paintings, printmaking, watercolor, drawings and sculptures from 18 museums and collections centered on Manchester in the northwestern United Kingdom. The exhibition is part of the “Art of Britain” event organized by the British Council’s Cultural and Education Section. The first show time in Beijing is from November 15 to December 21, 2012, followed by a tour of five cities in Shenyang, Nanchang, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou and Changsha within one year.
