Large-scale oil industry has laid a solid foundation for the modernization of oil science and technology. The conflict between tradition and modernization has become the catalyst to open up new processes for oil production and new products for the development of oil products. Chemical technology and bio-technology have become the wings that fuel oil science and technology take off. And medical research for the development of new products pointed out the direction of oil; innovation is to create new products. This article summarizes the current frontier trends in oil science and technology and industrial development from the above several major aspects.
