汉字系统的复杂性是西方学习者中文阅读的困难所在,也是许多西方汉语学习者最终放弃汉语学习的一个重要原因。同样学习800个学时,学习汉语的人和学习其他西方语言的人阅读水平差距很大。而对外汉语教学以往的“随文识字”并不符合第二语言成人识字的规律。因此,要解决西方人汉语学习中汉字难的问题必须综合多学科的研究成果和研究方法。在这个研究的过程中,要考虑10个问题。比如:掌握语言和掌握文字的区别,一个西方学习者要掌握多少汉字才能跨越“破译”和“阅读”之间的界限等等。最后一个也是最重要的问题是,随着中国英语熟练者的不断增多,而西方人仍因汉字障碍而无法深入了解中国的话,那么,中西方文明的相互交流将失去平衡。
The complexity of Chinese characters system is a difficult problem for Western learners to read Chinese. It is also an important reason why many western Chinese learners eventually give up learning Chinese. The same learning 800 hours, learning Chinese and learning other Western languages, people reading a wide gap between the level. The teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in the past “literacy ” does not meet the second language adult literacy rules. Therefore, in order to solve the difficult problem of Chinese characters in Chinese learning in Westerners, it is necessary to synthesize the multidisciplinary research results and research methods. In the course of this study, consider 10 questions. For example: the difference between mastering the language and mastery of the text, how many Chinese characters a Western learner can grasp to break the line between “deciphering” and “reading” and so on. The last and foremost issue is that as the number of proficient Chinese in English grows and Westerners still can not gain a better understanding of China because of Chinese language barriers, the exchange of Chinese and Western civilizations will be out of balance.
